Investigative Journalism & Teen Issues
In this unit, you will be combining reading and writing skills to explore different issues that teenagers face today. You will be responsible for completing a novel study on at least one book from the list below and researching the topic you select in depth. Additionally, you will be writing an investigative article and creating a blog or website offering information about your topic that you will then share in a Teen Issues fair.
See below for individual writing sessions.
Publishing & Sharing Your Journalistic Article
You will need a printed copy of your article by the beginning of class on Thursday.
To publish your article: Go to your main Google Docs page. At the top, it will prompt you to create a new document. Click on the format titled "Essay" or click on "More Options" and select a newsletter template. Then, copy and paste your information into the new document, inserting pictures or graphics to complement your article. When you are finished, you should print a copy and turn it in to me.
